This hands free celebration let me induldge in childhood fun and go out on the town with my husband. Didn’t even need to shlep a purse! I had the most incredible “Hands-Free” Celebration for my recent huge birthday. What is hands-free you ask? I didn’t schlepp my purse with me! My hands were ready and able to enjoy every minute of what my wonderful husband planned for me on this momentous occasion. Yap it was a huge birthday, but I refuse to believe or feel my age. So his celebration included absolutely feeling alive and as much like a “kid” as possible!
The festivities started in the mid-afternoon with a trip to an arcade. Dang things had changed since I had been in one before. I remember my oldest and youngest frequented them often and they were filled with pinball and games like pac man, foosball, basketball, and air hockey. Oh, and there were always those things that you put money in and it pushed the coins to the end of the ledge, but never actually dropped money your way. I remember at one time there were things like Wheel of Fortune, Let’s Make a Deal and that one with Howey Mandel and the briefcases. What was it called? Wow alot has changed. I was not really sure how to approach some of the games. There were so many virtual things they had these little mask things that you put on to protect you from everyone’s germs I guess?!
laugh yourself silly
The Virtual Games Were Surprising
They all seemed so real. I was standing in the middle of a warehouse and people were coming after me and I had to shoot them. Then we were in what looked like a bar and a fight broke out and they were coming after me again. I had to act fast. It took a few moments to figure the trigger mechanism in the rifle I was holding but it was really fun. There was action all around me and I was moving around the room. Wow! A lot more fun than I realized. No wonder our young people are addicted to this stuff. Wish they would join reality with the same enthusiasm, but that is not a subject for this celebration. But the most amazing thing of all is that I had my credit card, phone, pen and note pad, my inhaler, and a tube of lipstick all with me; nicely concealed in my very stylish infinity scarf.
had everything under control. No purse whole day keeping hand free to play, eat, and enjoy
